Glossies look great, but I find them hard to use for extended periods.

As with many other factors, it's mainly dependent upon your usage...If you will be outside for extended periods of time, the glossy can give some serious reflection and glare issues...If you're primarily indoors, the glossy gives brighter colors and deeper blacks.

Glossy for me. I'm usually indoors with my computers. I take a break at least once every hour for about 15 minutes that helps the eyes :)

I like matte, especially since my computer has enough contrast and brightness to rival the glossy.

Glossy. At first I didn't like it, now I love it. The rich colors and great contrast are unrivaled, undoubtedly the best screen I've ever used. Also widescreen, which I love.

I like my matte screen. It is easy on the eyes.
