Hello, I've been researching laptops choices extensively over the last 2 weeks (way more than i should).

But i am interested in which CPU i should go with for laptop (Gaming and School). Games: WoW / SC2

Are the i5-5x0 more than adequate for gaming? I have planned to purchase an i7-620m. But am i paying $150 for no reason?

The lower the price, the faster i will upgrade.

The i5 5xxM series are more than enough and upgrading to the i7 620M will not yield significant benefits, hence IMO not worth the $150 (maybe not even worth a $50).

You'd do just fine with a i5, the higher clock speed would actually be better when you aren't using more than 4 logical cores.

An i5 should do fine for gaming. Most of the time, your GPU will be the bottleneck when you game anyways.
