Okay so i posted a thread on here a while back about me upgrading my CPU due to some weird performance issue with my computer.......So the jist of it is when i first bought the laptop it ran WOW on all high settings at a constant 60 FPS......Now its lucky to run it 30 FPS constant......BIG LEAP

So i was tinkering with throttle stop trying to undervolt the CPU thinking it could be a heat issue.....When instead what i found was when i have throttle stop running in the back of everything its performance shoots back to how it used to when i first bought it!!! Thats without me touching or messing with anything in throttle stop too mind you!

So my question is.......Ive found how to fix my issue.....But i dont know what could be causing it!? This is a HUGE mystery to me!!! And if ANYONE on here says take it to geek squad HELL NO......Last time i took it there for BOOT MGR missing prob they tried to tell me hard drive was fried.....Now cough up 300 smackers for a new one! - NO THANKS!

So again please, Any help on this issue would be GREAT! What could be this weird Glitch i suppose to say that is my problem??? Should i even invest in a intel X9100 if this is just going to happen to it??? Im lost and REALLY need help, Thank you! :)

Are you sure ThrottleStop wasn't turned on when this performance boost happened? And yeah,I'm pretty sure it's a heat issue......but would be worth checking whether ThrottleStop was running or not.

TS running in the background will lock the CPU into running at full speed unlike the standard power profiles................
