    Hi to everyone!
I want to upgrade my 9800M GTX to GTX 280M MXM 2.1 HE....but can't find it nowhere. Meanwhile I have found an FX 3700M card.

So I want to ask. If I will flash 3700M to 280M, will it have the same performance and abilities as 280M (except technology 65nm and 55nm)?

Or I should wait and find 280M?

Going from 9800M gtx to gtx 280M isn't exactly a big upgrade, 280M is like on average 15% faster than a 260M, which is just a rebadged 9800M gtx.

And according to some people, 280M/285M don't have much overclocking headroom either , so you will very likely notice even less improvement considering your 9800M gtx is highly overclocked. You might want to take a moment and reconsider your options.

Not a big upgrade, but the best availiable :D
Starange, I thought that due to 55nm technology it just must be better overclockable...

talk to niffcreature for the best info...

    but my understanding is...

There are 4-5 versions of the fx3700, only some of them are flash-able.
I've tested flashing mine to a 280m and didn't see a any performance difference.
