Does anyone know of a battery program for my Dell battery that limits the charge it must drop to before it begins charging again? I say this because it re-charges even at 99%, which I feel is unnecessary.

If you're sitting there and using your laptop in one location for an extended period of time, taking the battery out is probably your best bet. Keeping it topped off will probably reduce its lifespan.

That is possible, but I move around alot and it still uses a little battery when in sleep mode so the battery keeps recharging to max every time I plug in.

I'm not trying to drain my battery here, I'm trying to not allow it to recharge after it's been on battery for only like 10 seconds, and only allow recharging after the battery hits say the 80% mark. Anyone?

It is a very reasonable inquiry by you, but I haven't heard of such a software. I am interested if it exists, too.
