    Hello,

So from doing a bit of light research (from wikipedia), I've found that USB 2.0 is faster than IEEE 1394a, but that "FireWire 800 [IEEE 1394b] is substantially faster than Hi-Speed USB".

What is "Hi-Speed USB"? I'm assuming it's USB 2.0, of course, but I want to be sure. Also, how much faster is 1394b than USB 2.0?

Firewire is faster because it is hardware based, whereas USB uses CPU clock cycles to process the transfer. Cut the CPU cycles out, and USB is faster.
