Hello, first time poster here and love the forum, lots of information here..

I couldn't seem to find the answer to this question so I figured I'd post.

I have a Dell Precision m4600 and I was looking to upgrade the palmrest to a fingerprint reader. After reading through the posts, I have a some questions.

1.) Which sensor to get? FIPS? Swipe?

2.) Did Broadcom finally get their heads out of their a** and release a WBF for the reader so it can be used with other software?

2a.) If so, which software is suggested?
