I'm hoping to pick up 1 or 2 spare batteries for my 9262, and was hoping to also get an external battery charger. I've looked around a bit, but they all seem to be sold by brand, and I can't seem to find sager/clevo ones. Could anyone point me in the right direction? Also, what sort of prices am I looking at? Would I be better off just saving up for a long batt life notebook?

By external battery charger what do you mean?

And external power adapter or an external LithiumPolymer battery that plugs in and acts as a charger?

For both APC has adapter plugs for most major brands.

Otherwise not sure of the question.
Personally I used LithiumPolymer batteries for my Thinkpads and I prefered them to my extra battery because they had a longer life and were easier to carry around (thin enough to fit in the file folder portion of my laptop bag whereas the extra batteries are usually akwardly shaped). Not sure about the life span on your laptop as most Lithium Polymers are about 60-100WHrs with the high ends being about 125WHrs.

I mean something that will allow me to charge a battery without it being plugged in to the laptop. Of course, I suppose that a device that I could plug my laptop in to that would provide extended outlet-less operation wouldn't be bad either.

You can make one, but it would be pretty hard. If your 9262 uses the same battery as my voodoo then you will have difficulty because their are 7 pins which connect the battery to the motherboard. 2 are for charging, 2 are for battery tests/monitors, and the other three are for recognition and a separate circuit to bypass the battery when it is finished charging.

You can make one, but you will need to get the same connector which is on the motherboard, and you will have to make a circuit which will take the power from the power supply to charge the battery.

Let me guess, you bought two batteries

    Hi,

I have the same problem - I need a way to recharge my NP9262 battery outside of the laptop in some kind of external recharger. It's a long story why I need it but to be short: my internal recharging circuit is fried out and I need a little bit of power in the battery to send it for repair. The battery is 100% discharged and the notebook is turning on only on battery(without AC power).

Any other ideas for recharging outside the notebook are welcome :)

    Thank you

The 9262 (D901C) uses the same charging circuit and battery as the D900T and D900K from Clevo.
Their is no way to charge these external from your laptop without making your own charging circuit. Your best bet is to find someone in your area who has one, who can charge it for you.
Maybe PM a member on here, and hopefully one of them can charge the battery for you. Unfortunately it may take a week to get this done cause of air mail and shipping.

    Good luck,
