I have a Toshiba Equium model no: EA60-173 (PSA67E-00700C8J) which will not start up.

It tries to start, the hard drive spins, the fan starts, the dvd drive light flashes, the hard drive light flashes and then it goes off.

Battery is fine, power supply/charger is fine. Lights on the front show the power is on and the battery is charging.
Tried it without the hard drive and without the ram memory and it does exactly the same.

If anyone has any ideas what might be wrong I would be very greatful.
    Thankyou.
    StuartB.

Sorted it for now. For some reason when I lossened the screws holding the heatsink on to the processor it started up.
I left it running and tightened them back up and it's seems to have done the trick. May be temporary though.
Would like to know why it worked though.
