I just checked out the two models they look almost identical.

I own the Envy 14 1002tx. After a failed bios upgrade (spend almost a week trying to recover, pretty sure its bricked) I would like to install a new motherboard.

I can get the first gen mobo for 150$ and the second gen for the envy 14 2xxx series for 160$.

Now the important question: Will it fit? If it fits I'll buy a cpu and some more ram as well.

Hard to believe that nobody has tried this before.
