    Dvd-rw upgrade?

    Hi, I'd like to know if I could upgrade a Acer TravelMate 2423

    with a liteon SSW-8015S dvd-writer.

    I'm not sure if it's gonna be compatible (are both connectors SATA/IDE/Etc... for example?)

    He/she is asking if the connections will be different. Like for hard drive there is sata I, sata II, ide.

    I don't think you could, or you would have a hard time finding the right one because of the physical shape, alot of dvd have a little bit of a difference between them

    hes asking if the dvd drive in his acer is compatible with the "liteon SSW-8015S dvd-writer" and i think its IDE not sure though

    you laptop shound take stander slim ide drive

    it the plate on front drive that might not line up right but any slim ide drive with work with the exepctiton on plate on drive
