    Does intel PM45 ICH9M support SATA II ?

    I have a 320gb 5200rpm 8mb cache SATA HDD on my laptop(SUMSUNG R560 AS03TR) and I want to buy a 500 gb 7200 rpm 16mb cache SATA II HDD but I don't know if my mainbord supports it or not, I could not find it anywhere.. İf it does not support it will work like SATA and then there is no need to buy SATA II :S I need urgent help please...

    SATA and SATA use the same connector and are compatible with each other.
    The ICH9M supports SATA II speeds as well.
