    I have a new DELL XPS M1530

    T9300
    4GB RAM
    200GB 7200
    LCD LG 1680x1050
    2MP CAM

Does the screen resolution and brand has any relationship with the camera ( type & performance )?

    Thank you.

None at all. Totally separate components.

EDIT: Oh actually, I know with the M1330, if you get a thin and light screen you can only get a .3MP webcam, not the standard 2.0.

All of the 2MP webcams on the M1530 are the same as far as I know, and they are made by creative if I remember correctly.

No, no correlation. The webcam is probably made by yuan, or orion, since they make most webcams. All webcams run through the USB hub on the motherboard. The capabilities of our webcam are not related to screen reolution.
AS a note, almost all laptop webcams are terrible, either the contrast is way too low, or way too high, and usually the colors are either extremely washed out, or saturated.
You will have to tweak your webcam settings to make everything better, and that may mean that you need to drop the webcam resolution a bit.

If you are using the webcam for office work, I recommend getting a external one, which has a larger lens, as it will be clearer. (this is only if you feel your webcam is not good enough)
