If you are totally stuck you could get the above with a mini-pci express converter.

no... it's totally for a notebook... guess i should have said mini pci-e. i still don't fully know what i'm talking about & the specs on my laptop don't exactly say what kind of wifi card it has other than realtek.

    it's a Toshiba L775D-S7304 by the way.

Well, i'd say the Intel 6230 is your best bet, it is a half height card and probably what your laptop has too given that it is a recent model. It should be pretty easy to swap too.

The 6230 is a great card. I've got one in my XPS 17, and the thing rocks out. If you use Intel's Drivers and SW instead of the Microsoft ones for the BT side, it works better. I havent had a signle issue with my card yet.

Now the only question is if I want to buy it for $15.89 from Hong Kong or $23.98 from 'murrika.

Hmm. Think I'll cheap out an wait a few extra weeks with Hong Kong.

Yeah the only problem is, when buying from ebay, 95% of US the seller probably buy from the same manufacturer and charge more because people feel safer buying a product from within the US.
