Hey, I was wondering if anyone could tell me the difference between these two screens and what their pro's and con's are.

    17.3" 1920 x 1080 Full HD (16:9) LED Backlit Antiglare Type Display

17.3" 1920 x 1080 Full HD (16:9) LED Backlit Antiglare Type 72% NTSC Color Gamut Display

    Thanks

The difference is the color gamut, which is the percentage of colors defined under the NTSC color space that the LCD panel can reproduce. Higher percentages mean better color reproduction. I'm kind of curious what the gamut is on the base panel, since 72% isn't terribly high. It's probably around 60%, I would guess.

I believe I read somewhere that it was a Chi Mei 60% but I can't seem to find it again. Your best bet would be to email / call the reseller and ask.

What is a Chi Mei? I'm sure there is a obvious answer to my question, just I can't seem to find it? Any takers? I will send off a Email sometime tomorrow.
