A desktop PDC physically won't fit in an Inspiron 1525... I'm pretty sure you have a mobile one...

It's not the same size, not sure how you do that unless you have a shrink ray.

Yeah, I'm sure you were able to modify a laptop motherboard, with a pin count of around 479 to fit a desktop processor that requires a pin out of 700+ pins.

Please, do not spread misinformation if you want to be a contributor to these forums.

Yeah, not to mention the LGA755 procs don't even have pins to start...

Can you take a picture of the processor mounted in the motherboard? I'd really like to see this.

Hahaha....It is possible (definitely :D). Did you use super-glue to stick 478 pins on random contact points. :D
BTW, did you notice a boost in battery life.. :p

Seriously, there is a massive difference between LGA (Socket T) and PGA (Socket P).

Yeah you get converters. We trust you (at least I do :p)

Now be a good boy, and upload a screenshot of CPU-Z in the next couple of minutes without photshopping it. :p

Sorry to the OP, we didn't think some poster was going to come around and mislead you.

I'm going to close this thread. There are 17"+ laptops that use desktop processors, but they are designed specifically to accept desktop processors and cannot use the mobile processors.

Desktop and mobile processors are not interchangeable.

Once again, if you have any other questions you are more than welcome to make new threads on the subject.
