Hi. This is Z22 2006 User from Brighthand. My Dell Latitude D800 Won't boot.
I have tried many things, and it still won't turn on. I got it used, but they were a computer builder.

EDIT: See 3rd post for the posts that are important.

You better copy and paste whatever it says on that page as you have to be registered there to read. And you'll most definately not get an answer otherwise :)

No, I just didn't want to reiterate what I said again. Let me have some time to post it.

If you press the power button, and nothing happens, no lights, no fans, nada, then what maybe wrong is the power button has come unplugged. On the D800 your power button is actually located on the keyboard bezel and it plugs into the motherboard. Remove the battery and ac from the unit and take a flat blade screw driver and gently pry up on the notch on the left side of the unit about the keyboard. The keyboard bezel should pop up a bit, continue to remove the bezel and you will see a connector on the right hand side of the unit. Unplug it and recede the cable make sure you are getting a good connection, you can leave the keyboard bezel partially removed and now give it some ac and try to turn the unit on. Also make sure you are getting a green light on your AC adapter. Hopefully that should fix you up, otherwise............... There is not much else to try given that you have a good adapter. Let us know if that fixes you up..... Also you may want to post this in the correct forum next time.....

Sorry, this was the closest forum I could find. I will try this. I will have to get permission from my parents first, though.
