Hi, and sorry if this is in the wrong section, I couldn't think where else to post.
Right, to the topic....
I, accidentally, dropped a heavy maths text book on my advent 7105. The screen is beyond my levels of repair (though they are low levels), but it does have PC world's PC performance insurance (its a brit computer chain). So what do you think is my best option. Take it in and try and claim on the insurance? Or go to an electrical shop and fix it? Its not like the laptop is too important, as I have a new desktop, but it would be nice to have for school etc.
PLEASE help. Pics attached of damage.

You might take a look on Ebay for a cheap replacement. Several people here have found replacement monitors. -
Get a new laptop. And the new one take care of it with your life.

cheers ... -
found the screen on ebay for £70. Anyone know of anywhere cheaper?
Reading some instructions, it actually doesn't seem to hard to fix so I might do the job myself.
Thanks for the help by the way!
EDIT: Also, the pic doesn't make it clear but the damage is inside the screen. If I feel around the damage, there aren't any cracks I can feel and the only touch difference is that where the ink has leaked out there is a barely noticeable bulge. will this make a difference? -
A heavy math text book did that? Was the book made of heavy steel or something?
