    I have the following notebook below and can I upgrade to a Blu-ray drive and if so which one will work: HP Pavilion DV9653CL(GS748UA) NoteBook Intel Core 2 Duo T7500(2.20GHz) 17.0" Wide XGA+ 2GB Memory 320GB HDD 5400rpm DVD Super Multi NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GS

    Don't buy a notebook with GeForce 8000 M Series. It's a ticking bomb. The card has soldering defect which will melt in just over a year. Avoid!

    EDIT: OK, I think you already bought one but yeach Blu-ray should work with your system.

    Yes, I had this notebook already, trying to find what internal blu-ray drive will work.

    pretty much any ATAPI Blu-ray drive will work. I think Sony, Panasonic and Pioneer make notebook blu-ray drives.
