Pardon me for asking such a newbie question but it's confusing me at the present time...

It confuses me because 1 week ago I asked a technical support from one of those popular SAGER/CLEVO reseller, I asked him if I can have a G-SYNC internal display with a GTX 980m SLI if I order a CLEVO P870DM from their site and he said that G-SYNC is NOT compatible/supports a GTX 980m SLI at all. So I decided to totally drop the thoughts about getting a SLI, and go for a single GTX 980 no "M" + GSYNC instead.

But today I got into this another popular SAGER/CLEVO reseller site called www.originpc.com (not advertising or anything, purely referential) and when I got into their customizing page there is an option of a SLI + G-SYNC:

I obviously do not know if its real, a typo, or a misleading tactics but really it confuses me. I hope someone can clear this one up and put my mind at ease.

I also need some info. about how a G-SYNC works with SLI, how it performs, etc.

    Thanks again.

I recommend you buy from HIDEvolution (evoc) instead of origin

Now that you've mentioned HIDE...its actually one of their tech. support that told me that SLI is NOT enabled with GSYNC and yes I would prefer HIDEVO simply because I can pay using BITCOIN with them but they simply do not have the SLI option for the EVOC/P870DM sadly.

Also is having a G-SYNC will significantly increase the performance?

SLI will work with G-SYNC yes, maybe they meant they had no SLI models in stock with the G-SYNC panel. It's no different to a single card using it.

He clearly said that G-Sync is not enabled with SLI nor have SLI support, anyways that doesn't matter now since I'm not the one who ordered the laptop, it's my cousin but its just too bad since his been hounding me that he likes to have SLI instead of a single GTX 980. It's a big difference to have a G-Sync, seeing it it's very smooth during gameplay but with an SLI he could have more fps for some games e.g Assassin Creed Syndicate.

Then again a single stronger gpu is less hassle driver wise and is better in titles that don't perform with SLI. I'd especially recommend it for less tech savvy users.
