    I adding 2 1024MD - DDR2 533MHz PC2-4200 SDRAM. Specs is a 2.5v SODIMM memory module.

I have found SODIMM modules that are 1.8v!

What's the difference other than voltage. Is it compatible & will it affect Clockspeed performance!

All DDR2 memory is 1.8v so it would be impossible for you to find DDR2 533mhz ram with 2.5v.

If you see 2.5v ram it is most likely DDR1 ram which is not compatible with computers that use DDR2 ram.

So any so-dimm DDR2 ram you buy make sure it is 1.8v and not 2.5v.

    Evo,

You are probably correct! However, the spec for my Toshiba Tecra M3-S336 has the RAM: Memory specifications as followed.

    Memory
    • 512MB (Min)/2048MB (Max), 2 memory slots using 256MB,
    512MB, or 1024MB DDR2 533MHz PC2-4200 SDRAM 2.5V
SODIMM memory modules; both slots may be occupied.
