I`m trying to decide on some nice DDR2 SODIMMs for my Acer 5520G.
Currently I`m on 2GB but want to go up to 4GB ( I don`t think I can stick 8GB into it ). So, which do you recommend ? Budget is not that important. I want quality and speed.

I agree with garetjax, I also have OCZ DDR2 800MHz and it works really good.

You really cannot go wrong with any of those. If you do happen to get a bad module, its luck of the draw. I got bad OCZ modules before. Kingmax which may be a lesser known brand in the US is actually a really good maker. Just get the cheapest one you can.

Get the cheapest of the three. Just make sure that the memory you buy has a lifetime warranty on it.

Crucial probably has better chips since Crucial is owned by Micron (DRAM producer). Though, not all Crucial DRAM use Micron's best chips. I had crucial ones (with Micron D9 chips) that an do 1200mhz at 1.9V vdimm.

Agreed. I compared Crucial DDR2-800 to OCZ DDR2-800. The OCZ required more voltage and even then couldnt make it up to 1000mhz speeds just barely, whereas the DDR2-800 rated Crucials made it up to 1066 easily at only 1.9V. I will try and buy Crucial if I can help it from now on. But for mild overclocking, OCZ will do the job just fine.
