This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Ok....I keep hearing how its possible to upgrade CPUs but not suggested for the faint of heart. If it were to be attempted, how much would you be looking at for the new processor and how difficult would it be to attempt this on your own.

    If it really is that difficult to do, are there places you can take your computer to get it upgraded?
