Have Ati radeon HD4650 1GB GDDR3 in my laptop.I installed gpu-z program to monitor gpu temperature. and i see my gpu clock shows 550mhz and for memory clock 667mhz. but when i go to sensors it set as current to monitor current rating it always shows 200 for gpu and 250mhz for memory.why is that so? even when im playin..

and also..temperature when idle is 40, when playing for few hours 65. thats kinda normal.so i was wondering is there a room for OC?

Have you got your advanced power settings set correctly for ATI powerplay?

    how it should be set?

also in ati catalyst vertical refresh is set to always off, standard settings are on balanced, mipmap level on high quality..

and what is the difference if i set for lets say standard settings to high quality or high performance?

Max battery life will lock it in at 200MHz I believe.
Max performance will let it scale up.
Perhaps just set max performance on one of your high performance profiles for both battery and plugged-in. I find that it conflicts if I have different settings for battery and plugged-in under the same profile. However, my experience is with the HD3200-64MB.

just noticed.. if i unplug it memory clock jumps from 250 to 396 mhz while gpu stays at 200.. that makes no sense. i checked.. got everything max out for performance.

What if you use a small program like atitool to keep the gpu busy?
