    Good afternoon guys,

After searching for a while about this matter, I found this thread: http://forum.notebookreview.com/har...d-hdd-storage-using-optical-bay-caddy-43.html

I've heard about this in the past, but know, since I have some money I decided to go ahead.

The problem is that I would like to place a SATA HDD on a IDE(PATA) interface that my Acer 1652/1690 has. All enclosures I have seen are IDE to IDE or SATA to SATA, but I know that what I want is available, so where can I buy it?

Also, there are standard sizes for the bay? Because my laptop is a bit old and finding one specifically for mine, might be difficult. And how can I measure the size (the height?) 9,5 or 12,7?

    This is my laptop: http://images01.olx.pt/ui/5/66/53/1...de--Pecas-Acer-Aspire-1652-Lmi-serie-1650.jpg

Thanks for the help guys :)
