    I remember reading somewhere that there will be a centrino extreme coming out. Is this true how is it different from current chips?

    Not 100% sure but I believe the comparison is similar to the desktop C2D and its extreme versions. I see this mostly for DTRs due to the amount of heat generated and power usage.

    It will probably be the mobile Core 2 Extreme. Won't be out for a while, and will be targeted and mobile workstations/gaming rigs.
