seems rather risky, seeing how the cooling systems in netbooks are generally sub-par and undersized.

Oh yeah, but I was just wondering because I have seen people overclocking the MSI Wind and EEE PC, but can't find anything about the NC10??? Just curious since I just started this netbook learning process hehehe :)

You probably cannot overclock it. Overclocking a netbook is also counter intuitive. Netbook buyers are buying them for battery life, not performance, so overclocking a netbook is a waste. If you want more power get a 12-13" laptop.

Yeah you have to think what jobs cannot be done with Atom 1.6 that can be done with Atom 2.0. There won't be many, if any at all.

Netbooks are bought for all sorts of reasons, in my case size and weight. The NC10's battery life is more then I need and I see no reason why it would be wasteful to know how to overclock it. The bit of extra processor power may end up useful and I'd certainly never buy a Laptop.

So, has anything changed on this issue? Can the NC10 be overclocked?

MSI Wind and EEE's overclock with software provided. My EEE can overclock to 1.7GHz with the push of a button, but Asus set it up that way. So, I don't think the NC10 can be overclocked.
