Anlienware and some Dell systems (8600 I think) are capable of changing there GPU's. The ones your talking about are probably the PCI-Express models, but there's still no guarantee that those will even be upgradable/swappable.

You can remove the card. I had my computer apart today, and took it out. Could you get a card that is the same size and uses the same connection? Would it be worthwhile to upgrade? I don't play a lot of games, but what about for faster video and better movies and what not?

Well, you'd run into power problems if you had anything more powerful than what you have in there. Also, you might have heat issues.

There are no video cards that you could put in that slot anyway - the video card in there was made specifically for your notebook. Then there's the question of motherboard compatability....

It won't make your DVD's run better - even integrated graphics is fine for that.

So, it's impossible to upgrade your card.

removing it is not the real issue. the problems is finding another card that fits; meaning, not just in the slot, but fits so that it occupies the same space and doesn't crowd the other components. as well, BIOS and heat issues are another problem. the only way to upgrade is if the manufacturer releases a newer card for the same notebook.

movies do not take a lot of power. the issue is 3D "conversion" necessary for gameplay. movies do not require the 3D "conversion" that games do. this is why "multimedia" notebooks do just fine with integrated graphics solutions.
