    I have a 17inch Sony vaio 1600x900 resolution.

    What's the highest quality I can upgrade to? At the time that I bought this laptop it was the only option (really annoying)


    edit: Looking for 1080p but I know that there are different types of screen and things like that.

    1920x1200 is the highest resolution for laptops.
    There used to be one certain high resolution (I think it was 1600P) screen some people were able to buy from a 3rd party however was in insanely short supply, and was stupidly expensive. I haven't heard about it in years, and I think is irrelevant.

    your laptop will not take a 1920 x 1200 screen

    only a 1920 x 1080 it is a 16 9 ratio

    check out screen country. Replace it with the sony hd screen
