    1. Is there a way I can update my processor? I am currently at a intel i3 processor.

    2. Is there a way I can install a backlit keyboard from another Asus laptop? My friend has a laptop thats around the same size, with a backlit keyboard.

    3. I ugraded my ram and put a 1TB internal HDD in it, is there a way i can upgrade the GPU and the screen, so I can get better resolution?

    4. Can i put another motherboard from another powerful ASUS laptop?

    Help me out guys

for the price of all the upgrades you want to make, you could buy decent i5 sandy bridge notebook or wait a little bit for ivy bridge.

However, you can upgrade CPU on your notebook because none of the i3's can be embedded in the motherboard.

Other things, especially screen panel should also be replaceable by other models parts, but try digging out service manuals to find specifics on particular parts.

ok, I got the backlit keys, Im going to install sometime this week, next would be the CPU....
    i have a intel core i3 350m @2.27ghz, socket 898 rPGA...

I want to try the intel core i7 quad core, but i am afraid of heat issues.

I do make music, and I need something better than this i3...

I hear some socket G1 processors can work with my laptop, but i have to figure it out.

I already spent alot of money on my ultra powerful desktop PC and
I want a powerful laptop, but for the specs I want, its going to cost $1700-$2000.

I wouldn't try a quad core. That model was never offered with one so probably wont work, aswel as the heat issues.

    Look for an i5-520m, 540m, 560m, 580m or i7-620m or 640m

the intel i7 640m has the same temp rating as the i3 in my laptop according to intel, and better integrated graphics frequencies, I may get this one. But first i have to check asus BIOS updates to see if I can put i7s in or i5s for that matter...
    Thankyou
