    Hi everyone,

    Thanks for having me here, glad to be a part of the group!

    I have been replacing laptop screens for a bit now, but a friend of mine presented me with a new challange, a CPU upgrade. He has a 2009 dv7-1243cl with an amd Turion x2 64 CPU that crapped out on him.

    My question is this, is the Turion x2 still a viable option, or is there a superior processor that can be swapped in its place?
