So there, as the topic title says, how do you explain "Performance Rated at"? My processor is a T7300 2.0 GHz, so what's with the 4.94 GHz? How did the test come up with this?

[lol maybe I should ask the people at canirunit.com instead but whatever :p]

    1.99 GHz on a Core 2 = 4.94 GHz on a P4?

this benchmark does make some sense when i compare video encoding time with pentium III M 1.2G(rated 1.79G) vs. current C2D(rated 6.42G).

Same way AMD has their "+" ratings, I suppose? Used to be easier when it was just "PR" (Pentium comparison back in the day of Cyrix/IBM/AMD 5x86 compatible processors)

I'm unsure whether that's a serious or sarcastic comment, but it's because the GHz rating is comparing a processor to a P4. Thus, your P4's comparable speed... would be with itself.

Maybe we should put this in a sticky that no one will read, but:
