You probably could, if the fans are the same dimensions as the ones which are in your laptop.

You should check the voltage of the existings fans. They are most likely 5volts, whereas the fans you linked to are 12volt.

The replacement would entail taking apart your system and modifying the existing fan wiring setup.

If you do replace the fans, make sure you have the airflow going in the right direction.

    Good Luck

Why would you is the question. There is nothing wrong with the fans that come stock.

Unless these have a higher cfm or lower noise it would be pointless, and with a fan that small I doubt there could be much if any change.

We'll the fan I linked to runs at 8000rpm thus having a lot more air flow coming out of the system, and what I was thinking was to have the outer two fans circulate air inwards and have the inner two circulate outwards thus keeping the heatsink cool and keeping any heat out.

You didnt take into account that the fans on the unit now can move that fast too, but they are not hooked to a static voltage source. There votage is controlled based on the tempature of the unit. Chances are hooking these fans to the unit will have them run just as slow or slower.

That is unless you hook them to a different source. The problem is that already when the stock fans go full blast it sounds like a jet engine, so those fans probably will do the same.

Maybe, asus would probably have to make it tho, or somebody who can program it has to find the sensor the mobo uses and maybe set a certian offset.

that or get a high speed camera and film it and do the math :p

We'll I tracked down the company which make the fans in mine they are Delta Electronics ( http://www.delta.com.tw), I also found the model which is in the C90s which for me is the AFB0412VHB it runs off 12 volts but can go a much higher RPM than the one I posted above these can hit 9500rpm so I no longer see the need for upgrading them although I might try turning around two of them and see if that makes any difference at all.

BTW: full specifications on the fans can be found in this PDF document: http://www.delta.com.tw/product/cp/dcfans/download/pdf/AFB/AFB40x40x15mm.pdf

If it uses the same connector and same voltage we'll then yes just plug em in and go thats it.
