I am having all sorts of trouble with my laptop. I believe there is something wrong with my hard drive controller as 3 hardrives have failed on my computer in the past 3 months. I am almost certain it is a hardware, as it makes a strange sound when booting up.
So I am going to try and boot from my usb external hard drive until I get another laptop. However when I try to install windows on this drive it says hardrive is not present setup can not continue. However I am sure that the computer reads the hardrive as It reads from antoher computer and it read from my laptop while it was running.
How do I boot from the usb hard drive?
