Any help would be really great, thanks!

So my battery is holding at 3% of capacity. I left the laptop plugged in and powered off all night.

I took out the battery and reinserted it.

The laptop stays on without the battery being connected, but still continues to switch between battery and AC mode (the screen goes dim and bright). If I boot without the battery, it does not switch between the two display modes and remains consistently powered.

The laptop is an Asus UL30V and is about 4 months old.

Again, any help would be great. I need to be able to run without being connected to the wall and this flickering power mode is really annoying.
