I was checking out the Asus G51 and G71 laptops.. they have really nice specs and are good bang for the buck laptops... but something really discourages me. They have low resolution screens.

    The G71 has a 17" screen at 1440 x 900 ...
    and the G51 has a 15" screen at 1366 x 768.

You'd think with running those nvidia 260m cards they'd want something higher. Any chance of getting a higher res screen into these things?

It will be hard to find 15" screen with better resolution than what ASUS is offering. But for 17" you have a better chance at larger resolution units.

    cheers ...
