    Howdy,
I have a Benq S53 W laptop, and i thought i would keep the BIOS up to date. I downloaded the latest bios pacakge and ran it, it rebooted and began the flashing process. However, when it was complete it rebooted and it went no where! it did not post but just a blank screen.

I feel the BIOS has gone kaput and corrupted.

Now is there a way to try and repair it? Other than return to Benq service centre.

If you experienced a bad flash I'm afraid the only way your going to get it back may be to send it to the service center and have them either reflash your BIOS chip or replace it with a new one. BIOS flashing is risky business and a good rule of thumb is to only flash a newer version if you are experiencing a specific issue that it may resolve. Otherwise "If it ain't broke, don't fix it."

Yes, the only way that is going to be fixed is if you send it to the repair center. They have the necessary tools to fix it.

And, unfortunately, from experience I can tell you that in some cases you are SOL with bad flashes.

I turned a desktop motherboard into a paperweight in my earlier years.
