    I am buying a dv5t off ebay but none of the laptops on there come wit the high capacity 6 cell battery offered on HP's website. Is there any place I can buy one? I've tried ebay but it doesn't appear there are any on there.

    go into the hp section, and look for people who have the dv5t. I am sure someone has a high capacity battery. Send them a Personal Message asking for the model number of the battery.
    Once you find the model number you can search that number in a google shopping search, and than you can find online etailers which sell the battery.

    ok, I will try that. thanks a lot. I've heard that the standard 6 cell battery has terrible battery life.
