I just bought a 1520 with 1gb of ram, it was 125$ for the 2gb upgrade and for 60-80$ I can just buy 2gb from newegg.

Has anyone tried the cl4 ram? its about 20$ more then the cl5, just wondering if there was any real world difference.

For 20$ It seems to be worth it.

Most 533Mhz is CL4 so you must be asking about 667Mhz PC5300/5400? It has 20% less latency than CL5 so it should improve performance slightly I would try it. Bench mark with SiSoft Sandra to see how much difference it makes.
