Anybody dealt with laptops-motherboards.com

I bought a motherboard for a Dell XPS m1210 from an online company called laptops-motherboards.com back on Dec 26. I'm beginning to think it might have been a mistake. But the price was so good I guess I didn't follow my own rules from checking companies out before I order. It's been three weeks and outside of an e-mail giving me an order number, nothing has happened and the e-mails I've sent have gone unanswered. Before I dispute this purchase with PayPal and call the Better Business Bureau I just wondered if anybody had bought anything from them and had a satisfactory experience. It hasn't been that long so I hate to complain but I'm starting to wonder if I didn't just throw away $150.00

 

Yeah, I would guess that is a scam just off of the website URL.

 

I'm with greg, that url looks shady as it is. Anything you buy from a site with a hyphen in it is more than likely a scam.

 

URL is dead. File a Paypal dispute ASAP!

 

Opening a PayPal dispute is better than calling in the mob, what are you waiting for?

PayPal will hold back any money paid into their account, not just from you, usually you'll get refunded within a day.

I don't know if it's a scam or not (some businesses just have really poor taste in websites); however, if it's been three weeks and you've not heard a thing, something's up, at least with your specific order (e.g., to give them the benefit of the doubt, perhaps the file-clerk dropped the order slip between the desk and the wall instead of filing it properly?). If you cannot get someone reasonably senior on the telephone directly, who can give you specific, detailed facts about what's happened with your order by tomorrow afternoon, then you had better file a dispute with Paypal before the close of business tomorrow evening.

could be taking longer to ship from china?.... but i'd say scam since address isnt complete

 

Hey i was wondering, did your order ever pull through? i ordered a motherboard form them too and i still havn't got it, its been 2 weeks, wondering if i should petition it with paypal. please reply soon!

 

I order a key protector off ebay came from Hong Kong took 4 weeks. So unless they told you 2 weeks I would wait for at least 8 weeks. After 8 weeks I would worry. Something like that might get tied up in customs.

I thought 4 weeks was fast.

 

Is there a time limit to file a dispute with paypal? i want to wait for it, but then again i dont want to wait long enough for my dad to lose money on it , will paypal not refund me if i dont dispute it right away?

 

45 days iirc, its all documented on paypal's site how to do it how long etc

 

I bought a ac adaptor from the website: Mp4playershop.org
I searched the web for all i could about it, and no bad reviews.
I went in a bought it, and now i've waited for 13 days, when delivery says 7-10 days.
I have done a whois etc. and found it to be the same "company" as the whois that has been done in this post.

I'm going to paypal directly and try and get the money back.

It says he has around 40 other domains so please be aware guys, if ordering from suspectable companies.
