    Any one overclock this?

    Newegg.com - CORSAIR 8GB (2 x 4GB) 204-Pin DDR3 SO-DIMM DDR3 1066 (PC3 8500) Laptop Memory Model CM3X8GSDKIT1066 G

if so, what did you get it up to on stock voltage?

    increased voltage?

also.. I believe that this module is the same...

    Newegg.com - Mushkin Enhanced Essentials 8GB (2 x 4GB) 204-Pin DDR3 SO-DIMM DDR3 1066 (PC3 8500) Dual Channel Kit Laptop Memory Model 996644

Right now my laptop has 4 gb of Hyundia Electronics... (these appear to be built by them as well, both the corsair and the mushkin)I was able to get them overclocked to 1272- 1300 (needed a little more voltage on the high end)

I would like to atleast match the 1272 at stock voltage.

I'm trying to run scII on my laptop, and it's very playable w/ the FSB up to 1272 but I don't want to go to 1333 ram because I can't change voltages for the CPU/FSB/RAM (except with spd editor) to run that high (I think I would need to) and also, I don't want to loosen the timings to 9 9 9 24

I guess what could be done is write the spd with the 1333 timings in 1066 in a fast module and then ramp up the fsb toward 1333..

IDK what would be the greater performance boost, 8 gb or maybe a little faster ram.

For gaming, neither will make any significant difference in real life performance.

    ugh...

You miss my point. FSB: DRAM is linked 1:2, I cannot change that. I get better performance by increasing CPU (I could care less about memory bandwidth)...

I want to know if this ram can take the speed I want to throw at it to get the better performance out of my cpu. which is DRASTICALLY apparent in the games I play...
