    Hi,
Are there any t3200 bechmarks around and how it compares to the Turion TL QL and RM processors only (meaning exclude the HD 3200).

    Thanks

    T3200
Cinebench R9.5 (Single CPU Render Test) Sekunden 68,00
Cinebench R9.5 (Multiple CPU Render Test) Sekunden 36,00

    T7300
Cinebench R9.5 (Single CPU Render Test) Sekunden 66,00
Cinebench R9.5 (Multiple CPU Render Test) Sekunden 36,00

    P7350
Cinebench R9.5 (Single CPU Render Test) Sekunden 62,00
Cinebench R9.5 (Multiple CPU Render Test) Sekunden 33,00

Not sure if these tests are 100% CPU dependent.

the mobo has the X4500 integrated chip, does that mean that this dual core is upgradable to the Pxxxx series processors?

If it is not the GL40 chipset, then it'll be possible depending upon BIOS Support.

I've heard one successful and one failed C2D upgrade on the GL40.

Laptops which come with the GL40 chipset are not upgradable. they do not support the 1066Mhz bus speeds. Laptops which come with the GL45 chipset are upgradable.

A good indicator is to see if P8400 is offered for that particular laptop. E.g for HP dv4t both T3200 and P8400 are offered. I doubt HP uses different chipsets if you order one processor versus the other.

While the GL40 isn't officially supposed to run Core Duo series chips, would a 667FSB chip work assuming the BIOS had the microcode? For example T7600? Also I'm not sure this is the best benchmark, it doesn't seem to give any boost to chips with substantially larger L2 cache (IE T3200 vs T7300). Outside of the L2 cache though the T3200 isn't any different than the T5/T7 series so that's not necessarily shocking that it's scores are close in a synthetic bench.

Not sure why people are surprised...

    Pentium Dual Core T3200 = Core2Duo 2.0ghz.

YES, they use the EXACT same silicon core. PDC only has less l2 cache enabled which does not make much of a diff.

Im so happy I am educated.

I hate to bring up an old thread but I have a Gateway M-7305u which I believe contains a G41 chipset, would this allow me to upgrade to a P8400 or something similar?

How accurate is this site out of curiosity, because some of the scores don't seem right?

It is supposed to be quite a popular site for cpu benchmarking.
