I'll be adding an SSD to my laptop by replacing the optical drive. I'm wondering after I add it to my laptop, how would I make it my primary hard drive? As in I want to install windows on it. Would I have to reformat both my regular hard drive and ssd and use BIOS to change my C: to the SSD?

    Thanks for any replies.

Nope, just install windows and your programs on the SSD and you're set. You could also clone your current drive to the SSD if the used space on the HDD vs SSD capacity allows it.
