    Hello,
I just purchased a laptop with the following specs-
AMD Turion 64 X2 TL-64 Processor, 2048MB Memory, 250GB Hard Drive, 15.4" WXGA Brightview Display, HD-DVD ROM & SuperMulti DVD Burner Combo Drive, NVidia GeForce 8400M Graphics, 802.11 a/b/g WLAN, Windows Vista Home Premium
    Processor Series: Turion 64 X2
    Hard Drive Size: 250 GB
Operating System: Windows Vista Home Premium
    Installed Memory: 2048 MB
    Processor Brand: AMD
    Screen Size: 15.4" Widescreen

    For 679.99

I want to upgrade the ram right off the bat. I am looking at getting 4gb of ram and I am wondering if i am better off going with the 677mhz which comes stock with the computer or moving up to the 800 mhz. I really dont want to have any problems so I was wondering if the computer may have trouble with compatability if i upgrade to the 800 mhz. I am looking at 2-2gb=4gb from OCZ.
    Thanks for the help,
    justin

The model no. of the laptop will be helpful....!!
And for 4GB ram you need a 64-bit OS....

well it should accept it, but it will clock down to 667mhz... for clarification this isn't a AMD puma PC, if it was you could use 800mhz ram(not that it makes a big difference anyway). enjoy!
