I recently purchased a Dell Studio XPS 16 and removed the Bluetooth option since it was listed as USB. According to a post someone wrote on the Dell boards here, the USB listing is a mistake and it's actually internal... had I known that, I would have kept the option, but at this point I'd rather not cancel / reorder the unit (at best I'll receive it early November and apparently you can't update your order once it's in production).

What are my options? Is it possible to purchase the internal unit and install it myself?

    Thanks!

Yes I did exactly that for my xps 13. It is a mini PCI catd. Just do a search in ebay there should be plenty for about $20 dollars. If I remember correctly it is a Dell 370 card. Installation is simple, just need to remove the bottom panel and bolt the card on.
