    Hi all,

I just started connecting my Acer laptop to a Samsung external 19 inch LCD monitor.

But the external monitor shows very fuzzy images.

I believe the problem is related to Acer laptop being at 1280x800 and Samsung not accepting that.

    Samsung 931BF
    Acer Aspire 5100

    Please help.

    steve

What connection are you using. VGA or S-Video?

I'm assuming you are using VGA. Try pressing your external monitor quick key. That should adjust the resolution, contrast, brightness, and all other image settings.

Thanks for you reply. I am using the VGA.

What is the "external monitor quick key"? I am very computer savvy but don't know what that is. Please help.

The Samsung Monitor has a different resolution than 1280x800, it's 1280x1024. Make sure you're setting the Samsung to its native resolution.
