also, i bought it with 256mb and i recieved a free 256 mem upgrade, how many mem slots are there?

    Hello and welcome.

The Acer Aspire 5000/3500/3000/1690/1680/1410 Series and TravelMate 4500/4100/4000/2300 Series has the same battery. I found one site that has it.

On to your other question, there are only two memory slots. The maximum memory can your laptop handle is 2 gb. So if you want to buy additional memory, you are have to take the old memory out and put the new ones in.
