    Installed a Bluetooth card into my 1551 but cant find anywhere or dont recognize on device manager to install a driver. Making this simple, i installed the internal bluetooth and now what? :confused:

    Any ideas appreciated..

    Is there any setting in BIOS for enable/disable Bluetooth?
    I know some Dells that have it. maybe you should check there.
    It should be automatically appears on Device manager, unless you have broken card.

    yea i thought mine had bluetooth too but it didnt.not sure about enabling it .would like to know myself

    Have you tried the "Add Hardware" in control manager? Have you tried installing the driver even though you can't see it?

    The freaking cable was bad... changed that and windows recognized right away. Thanks for your comments........ :)

    Where is the connector for the bluetooth module? I opened the ram/hard drive cover and can't find the connector.

    Also where did you buy your bluetooth module?

    it's under the palm rest on the right hand side...there is double sided tape already on the motherboard to attach the daughter card.

    So you are saying that the module just sticks to the double sided tap? where do i put the cable.
    i didnt realise all the 11.6 acer doesnt not come with bluetooth by default. i just looked it up.
