    O.K. I am a notebook noob and need some help..

    Hello and I need to know where the other stick of ram is as I assume it can be changed unlike what dell leads me to belive ??

    I want to put a 512mb in there .. :)

    Dell is actually really good about documenting how to remove and replace parts in all their systems. In the Latitude D400, one RAM socket is accessed thru the bottom panel and the other is under the keyboard. It's a bit more complicated of a procedure, but the instructions are available in the service manual, here:
