    Hello all,
I've got an Asus laptop since 3 years now (an Asus x72SA with a T9300). I overclocked it@3Ghz when i need using SetFSB.
I've read some thread here about PLL modding, SetFSB, SetPLL, hadware modds, software modds. I have to say it must be the most advanced forum of the world about laptops technical in general and into cooling/modding/overclocking particulary.
That said i have 2 questions:

1)I'm wondering if you know a good IRC channel dedicated to overclock where we could lively with other overclockers (laptop or not)? Also is there any chat that currently exists for this forum notebookreview?

2)In my experiences, sometimes where you mess with PLL SMBus address directly with tool like rw everything/Hwdirect, you could just make the PLL fails and afterwards you cant detect it anymore (SetFSB returns "SMBus error"). This could happen for example if you read the SMBus slave address of the PLL but without block mode or with too much length. Then you have an error and and the slave device disappears. The only thing i know to "reset" to working state the PLL is to hard reset the CPU (means reset the OS). My question is simple, is there any other way to reset the PLL to make it work again without rebooting?

    Regards :)

I can't answer to your questions. But I want to ask the voltages of your CPU at each multiplier. I am going to overclock T9300 my T61 by pin modding PLL but not sure if it can take 3.2Ghz. At 2.7Ghz it already requires 1.100v.
